Job Description : Head of Operations (Finance Focus)
Job Summary : As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing Finance, HR, Customer Service, and SRE / DevOps / Analytics to ensure smooth and efficient operations in a digital e-commerce business. Strong finance leader (CFO, FD or similar) and a solid understanding in IT, HR, and Customer Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership
- Directly lead the Finance / HR Team and lead the department heads for Customer Service and SRE / DevOps / Analytics
- Train, retain, and empower team members, fostering a culture of innovation, high-quality deliverables, efficiencies and customer-centric solutions in close alignment with company’s culture.
- Finance (7 FTEs)
- Own and lead all finance-related topics, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Transition the finance operations into a scalable level
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee treasury operations including cash flow and banking relationships.
- Optimize cost efficiency, internal controls, and financial discipline.
- Lead and support Business and Financial Controllers in strategic decision-making.
- Human Resources (1 FTE)
- Define and lead HR strategies that drive a high-performance culture.
- Oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Ensure employee engagement, leadership development, and effective performance management.
- Establish streamlined HR processes that align with company goals.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience through structured service levels and operational efficiency.
- Lead and support the Customer Service Lead in optimizing workflows, KPIs, and team performance.
- Drive automation, self-service capabilities, and process improvements to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.
- Monitor customer feedback and continuously implement improvements to meet and exceed expectations.
- Oversee Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps operations
- to ensure high system uptime, scalability, and security.
- Support and empower the SRE / DevOps Lead in driving a culture of automation, CI / CD, and cloud optimization.
- Ensure collaboration between development and operations teams to enhance system performance and resilience.
- Align IT infrastructure with business needs, ensuring cost efficiency and strategic scalability.
- Proven experience in financial leadership, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Ambition and curiosity to grow into other business areas such as IT, HR, and Customer Service.
- Experience in digital business models / e-commerce is a plus
- Experience in financial reporting and business analysis.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
