Assistant Operation Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK), with a focus on sourcing, logistics, volunteer coordination, and delivery of sponsored cooked meals. The role involves working closely with internal teams, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of operations across Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Perak, Melaka, and Penang.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager will assist in the implementation and coordination of KSK’s operations. This includes helping manage food sourcing and logistics, liaising with sponsors, coordinating volunteers, and supporting operational planning. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about community service and food security.

Key Responsibilities

Meal Sponsorship Management :

• Assist in maintaining relationships with existing meal sponsors, including corporates and FMCG donors.
• Support negotiations and coordination with sponsors to ensure meals meet cost, nutritional, and safety standards.
• Help monitor sponsorship schedules and logistics to minimize last-minute changes and food wastage.
• Establish new partnerships, to expand the pool of reliable, cost-effective meal sources.
