Service & Maintenance Technician (Water Treatment Systems)
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on :
Norland Vapor Compression Distillers
Pre-treatment and post-treatment filtration systems
Water coolers and point-of-use (POU) dispensers with 4-stage filters
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
Ensure all equipment runs at optimum efficiency and complies with operational standards
Maintain service logs, checklists, and performance records
Assist in or lead the installation of :
Booster pumps, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), solenoid valves, and flow restrictors
Water dispensers, storage tanks, and related piping
Calibrate flow rates, pressures, and sensors (e.g., conductivity probes, temperature sensors)
Water Quality Assurance
Monitor distilled water purity using TDS / conductivity meters
Replace and service filters (e.g., sediment, carbon, ultrafiltration, polishing filters)
Collect and report water quality data and suggest corrective actions
Understand HACCP and GMP practices related to potable water production
System Upgrades & Modifications
Recommend and implement improvements in system design, safety, and productivity
Support control system upgrades and PLC (if applicable) troubleshooting
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare service reports, daily maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance schedules
Ensure adherence to company safety standards, health regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
Customer Support
Provide technical support and training to operators and users
Respond to breakdown calls and perform on-site diagnostics
Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for parts replacement
Stock & Inventory Handling
Maintain spare parts inventory for pumps, filters, valves, sensors, and tubing
Liaise with procurement team for timely replenishment
Key Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, filters, and control panels
Ability to read piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical schematics, and manuals
Willingness to travel for on-site servicing (if applicable)
Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and detail-oriented
Good communication and reporting skills
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
Familiarity with Norland International systems
Basic PLC troubleshooting or automation experience
Electrical wiring skills and multimeter usage
Basic water chemistry knowledge (pH, TDS, conductivity)
