Sr. Manager, Retail Banking Business Finance

Job Summary

The team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Wealth Retail Banking (WRB) business across all financial functions. This includes managing monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting. The team provides insights on performance, variance analysis, and key drivers to help management make informed decisions. By partnering closely with the business stakeholders, the team evaluates initiatives, supports strategic projects, manages balance sheet efficiency, monitors KPIs, and delivers forward-looking financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee cost management, ensuring expenses are well-tracked, controlled, and aligned with budgetary targets.
• Manage financial performance of the credit card and personal loan portfolio, including monitoring revenue, margins, and profitability.
• Lead preparation of monthly management reports, financial analysis, and insights to support decision making.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate new initiatives, product launches, and campaigns from a financial perspective.
• Provide in-depth variance analysis of actuals vs budget / forecast, highlighting risk and opportunities.
• Support strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and productivity improvements across WRB.
• Act as a finance partner to senior leadership, delivering insights that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
• Work on transforming the analytical process to improve speed, timeliness, and quality of information available within finance systems and exploring new automation tools and future analytics.
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which MYH operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations for the role.
