Responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and general upkeep of properties and facilities (auditorium and seminar rooms) assigned, including inspections, contractor management, and tenant satisfaction to ensure the smooth, safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the building and facilities. Job Responsibilities
1) Maintenance and Repair Execute routine and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all building and facilities maintenance scope of works (civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc). Respond promptly to troubleshoot and resolve emergency breakdowns, service requests, and tenant complaints (reactive maintenance) related to building facilities. Perform skilled repair and maintenance tasks such as basic electrical wiring, plumbing fixes, carpentry, painting and general handyman work. 2) Inspection and Compliance Conduct regular inspections of the building and common areas to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, inspections and repairs in a logbook or computerized system. 3) Vendor and Contractor Coordination Coordinate, supervise and inspect the work performed by external contractors, vendors or specialists to ensure work is completed according to specification and safety standards. Assist the Supervisor / Senior Supervisor in obtaining quotations and procuring maintenance supplies, tools and spare parts. 4) Safety and Housekeeping Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all maintenance workplaces. Serve as the secondary contact for facility-related emergencies after office hours and on weekends / public holidays as part of a rotation. 5) Event and Standby Support Coordinate and physically execute the setup and breakdown of event-related infrastructure, including PA systems, tables and chairs, and basic electrical requirements of the event. Ensure all in-house event-related facilities (in-house PA systems, furniture, etc.) are fully functional and ready for use before the event commencement. Be physically present on standby during events to quickly address any immediate, minor M&E faults or facilities-related emergencies (power trip, water leak, air-conditioning issue, etc.). 6) Any other tasks as assigned by department / company Requirements
Academic / Professional Certificate Qualification Minimum SPM or Technical Certification; proven experience as a facility technician or related position. Experience 1-2 years with equivalent hands-on experience in building maintenance and facilities management. Experience in supporting events management is a strong advantage. Knowledge & Skills Willingness to work flexible and often irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays to support event schedules. Relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Good communication and customer service skills. Apply and Insights
