Key Responsibilities
- COGS & PNL Mastery : Monitor and manage the cost of goods sold (COGS) and profit & loss (PNL) statements to ensure maximum profitability.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of both the bar and kitchen, ensuring seamless service while maintaining our unique, clandestine vibe.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to sustain a cost-effective supply chain.
- Event Management :
Plan, coordinate, and execute special events and themed nights that enhance the overall guest experience.
Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure each event runs smoothly.Adapt quickly to on-the-day challenges and ensure that events align with our brand and quality standards.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative promotional campaigns.Source and book DJs who align with our brand and vibe.Leverage a good taste in music and strong “crown reading” skills—gauging the crowd’s mood to tailor the evening’s energy.Customer Experience & Upselling :Engage with customers in a friendly, extroverted manner, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP.
Handle tense situations with grace—whether dealing with high-profile guests or challenging customer scenarios.Employ upselling techniques to boost sales while maintaining excellent service standards.Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team including bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, ambassadors, hostesses, and waitresses.Motivate staff through effective training, incentives, and continuous professional development.Lead by example in high-pressure situations, ensuring a calm, friendly, and efficient work environment.Cocktail Craft, Bar, and Kitchen Management :Possess basic knowledge of cocktail making and bar operations—advanced mixology is covered by our dedicated mixologist.
Oversee kitchen operations in collaboration with culinary staff, ensuring timely, high-quality food service that complements our unique bar experience.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if backed by significant, relevant experience.Flexible work schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be able to work standard late-night bar hours.Strong financial acumen with proven experience in managing COGS and P&L accuracy reports, as this role requires frequent updates to the owner.Good IT proficiency (Excel, POS systems, reporting dashboards, and other digital tools) to prepare, analyze, and present operational and financial data effectively.Basic knowledge of cocktail making and bar operations, with the understanding that specialized mixology and kitchen oversight are provided by dedicated staff.Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of motivating teams and managing diverse staff.Ability to handle high-pressure situations with VIP customers and tense moments gracefully.Experience in upselling and enhancing customer satisfaction through innovative service techniques.Background in marketing collaboration and event planning, with the ability to source and work with DJs.A solid understanding of music and crowd dynamics (“crown reading”) to create the perfect ambience.Proven ability to manage events from concept to completion, ensuring seamless execution.Working Conditions
