Associate Test Lead (ATL) for Performance Testing

Job Description
The primary function of this role focuses on non-functional – performance testing with responsibility and leadership for segments of test planning, design and execution, meeting planned scope and schedule and maintaining the engagement and relationship with the customer and internal stakeholders.
Identifies, analyzes and mitigates non-functional issues and technical risks of software systems. Develops, executes and monitors NF test automation tools, profilers and scripts. Provides recommendations for issue resolutions, improvement of NF aspects, system optimization, etc.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a team and independently manage end to end project, client escalations, project parameters and margins.
- Ensure delivery of quality test scripts.
- Effectively manage and groom next level resources.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams of developers, system engineers, DBAs, architects, and app owners to ensure project deliverables on time.
- Work with Performance testers to analyze performance test results and ensure application scalability, resiliency.
- Capable of deep diving and undertaking forensic analysis to assist on performance enhancement and identify application defects.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify application performance issues and work with application developers to find solutions for the found issues.
- Analyze the application / hardware under test, the performance testing requirements and the project acceptance criteria.
- Effectively communicate and present test results to stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in one of the performance testing tools like JMeter / Load Runner / Silk Performer / VSTS.Prior experience in handling a performance test team.Good exposure to Web Services REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, HTTP.Capable of assessing, analyzing and concluding tools and frameworks based on client requirements and technology stack.Hands on in any monitoring tools : PerfMon, NMON, JavaMelody, Kibana, Grafana, JVisualVM, Fidler etc.Preferable exposure in estimating hardware size / count of load generators basis targeted user / transaction concurrency.Should have / build expert level knowledge on Performance tool in context, Test Execution, analysis and Report preparationShould have good knowledge of SDLC, Performance Test Life Cycle, Defect logging and Tracking. Sound understanding of 3-tier / n-tier architecture.Hands on in analysis of application configuration, various logs, GC etc.Prior experience in troubleshooting using APM tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics.Excellent Presentation skills to effectively communicate and present results to stakeholdersStrong ability to deliver under pressure.Sound knowledge on monitoring Web Servers, Application Server, DB server and shell scriptingSeniority level
