Quality Assurance Responsibilities
- Ensure all fasteners comply with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and oversee PPAP documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and OEM specifications (NAS, MS, AS, AN, etc.).
Inspection & Testing
Perform and oversee dimensional inspections, mechanical testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) for aerospace fasteners.Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments for inspection.Analyze material test reports (MTRs) and ensure conformance to aerospace material standards.Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.Conduct 8D problem-solving, FMEA, and SPC to reduce defects.Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues and ensure supplier quality performance.Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives
Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects to enhance quality and efficiency.Identify and implement process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and defects.Work with production teams to implement process validation and control plans.Work with customers and regulatory agencies on quality concerns, audits, and approvals.Support supplier quality management, including audits, qualification, and performance evaluation.Respond to customer complaints, deviations, and corrective action requests (SCARs, RMAs, etc.).#J-18808-Ljbffr
