As a Data Governance & Privacy Senior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the responsible and compliant management of data throughout Sunway Group. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures and best practices, as well as overseeing privacy initiatives to protect data and information. The ideal candidate will have a background in data management, regulatory compliance and an understanding of privacy laws and principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework and strategy that aligns with Sunway Group’s goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards and procedures to ensure the proper processing of data throughout the Group.
• Collaborate extensively with business users and cross‑functional teams including IT, data governance champions, data owners, data stewards, data analysts, data engineers, legal, audit and cybersecurity to ensure data is managed effectively and efficiently across the Group.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data governance best practices and privacy regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate data governance and privacy compliance, including the implementation and effectiveness of data protection controls, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant data protection regulations such as PDPA and other applicable laws and ensure compliance within the Group.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to business units on data governance and privacy matters.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the implementation and maintenance of appropriate technical and security measures to protect data privacy.
