GCPV Solar Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing grid-tied solar PV systems—including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), mechanical layouts, cable sizing, and component selection—for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Conduct shading analysis, energy yield simulations, and performance modeling using tools.
• Perform site assessments including field measurements, shading, rooftop structural considerations, and environmental factors.
• Develop technical documentation including BOMs, design reports, layout drawings, and proposals.
• Support submission packages that comply with SEDA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), utility interconnection requirements, and international standards.
• Collaborate with sales, licensing, project, and procurement teams to align design with project goals.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and client handover phases.
• Stay updated on emerging solar PV technologies, design best practices, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in preliminary design and integration of hybrid or off-grid solar-battery systems (BESS).
