Join a fast-growing Japanese food retail brand with multiple restaurant outlets in Malaysia! We’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Account Executive to support our finance operations — from daily accounting tasks to financial reporting and coordination with our Japan headquarters.

What You’ll Do

Daily Accounting Tasks

Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.

Issue and manage invoices, process supplier payments, and handle staff expense claims.

Manage cash flow, petty cash, and reconcile daily sales reports from restaurant outlets.

Monthly & Year-End Closing

Prepare monthly closing reports and assist in P&L and Balance Sheet preparation.

Coordinate with external accountants for audits and year-end closing.

Support financial audits and respond to auditor inquiries.

Banking & Tax Coordination

Reconcile bank statements and monitor transactions.

Prepare documentation for tax filings (SST, corporate tax, etc.).

Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and financial institutions.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare financial reports for management.

Communicate with the Japanese Managing Director and Admin Manager for reporting and approvals.

Coordinate financial updates and adjustments with Japan HQ.

General Administration

Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.

Assist in payroll processing and perform ad-hoc admin or finance duties when needed.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in any industry.

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.

Good communication skills in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Independent, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
