08 - Accounting Specialist

Req ID : . Remote Position : Hybrid. Region : Asia. Country : Malaysia. State / Province : Johor. City : Senai. This is a 1 year contract role. Accounting Analyst will work closely with the Financial Shared Services and Site Finance, Site Management team to develop, implement and enforce effective financial processes. These responsibilities also include performing period end closing and reporting, financial systems and process operations and advisory on the financial process to other operational departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities, accrual accounting, prepare and post accounting journals.
• Prepare supporting schedules for period end closing.
• Prepare corporate and statutory compliance reporting.
• Balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Liaise with external auditors, draft and complete the Financial Statutory Audited Report.
• Prepare quarterly tax package, annual tax return and indirect taxes.
• Prepare quarterly transfer pricing true up.
• Liaise with MIDA on matters related to tax incentives.
• Handle documentation on secretarial matters.
• Assist in problem solving and provide advice on accounting and business processes.
• Handle fixed asset reporting roll up, ROI analysis, depreciation forecast and assets count.
• Handle ad-hoc matters / projects as assigned.
