Responsibilities
Oversee the planning and preparation of material submissions to ensure full compliance with project specifications, design criteria, contract procedures, and construction standards.
Review and approve shop drawings and material submissions, coordinating with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary.
Supervise the preparation and implementation of QA / QC processing checklists, quality control plans, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Assist the QA / QC Manager or Project Manager in managing quality-related aspects of the project, including data analysis and the preparation of technical presentations or demonstrations.
Ensure accurate and timely submissions of technical documentation, quality reports, and other required deliverables to clients and consultants.
Support the Project Head in identifying, documenting, and addressing contractual and technical issues, and manage associated site documentation.
Lead investigations into quality issues, oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and ensure non-conformance items are tracked and closed out effectively.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve QA / QC-related issues, and provide expert advice on technical and quality matters.
Consolidate QA / QC data and prepare detailed progress and compliance reports for internal use and client meetings.
Review and enhance technical proposals and method statements to ensure alignment with best practices and client requirements.
Maintain control and integrity of all QA / QC documentation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.
Monitor and control QA / QC records and forms at site level, ensuring systematic documentation and traceability.
Prepare and present the monthly QA / QC performance report to project management and client representatives.
Requirements
Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of working experience in QA / QC within the construction or infrastructure industry, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proactive, responsible, well-organized, and a team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
Familiarity with ISO standards, construction quality standards, and safety regulations.
