Head of Procurement

Associate Director, Engineering and Supply Chain & Procurement at Ambition

One of the world’s largest FMCG brands is looking for a Head of Procurement to lead and manage the entire procurement function, ensuring the effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for business operations. This position directly reports to the Supply Chain Director.

Key Responsibilities :

• Developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading the procurement team to achieve organizational goals
• Design long-term plans to ensure the company gets the best value from suppliers while supporting business goals like cost savings, sustainability, or innovation
• Negotiate contracts, handle disputes, and build strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
• Supervise purchasing managers, buyers, and other procurement staff, ensuring the team runs smoothly and meets performance targets
• Implement strategic sourcing and contracting strategies
• Lead global, regional and local procurement initiatives and implement them collaboratively within the business
• Leading negotiations for high-value contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms
• Minimize risk exposure in supply and service contracts while maximizing operational opportunities through effective supplier management
• Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and financial accountability
• Oversee the entire purchasing process in a compliant and flexible manner, providing optimal support to resolve procurement challenges
• Ensure supplier management adheres to the global standards, including Supplier Code, Contract Compliance, Supplier Coding, and Supplier’s business sustainability
