The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial management, reporting and control of project budgets and expenditure across renewable energy, construction and environmental projects.

Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor all project expenses, commitments and forecasted costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Prepare accurate project costing reports, including variance analysis, for submission to the project team and management.
Track project billing, retentions and payments to ensure proper financial documentation and timely collection.

Contract & Cost Control

Assist in contract review, pricing analysis and funding applications where necessary.

Support cost monitoring and forecasting to prevent overruns and ensure projects remain financially viable.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost efficiency and accurate cost allocation.

Accounting & Reporting

Handle full sets of accounts, ensuring timely month-end closing and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Prepare and update project financial statements and reports in line with company’s reporting standards.

Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate with internal departments to resolve financial or project-related issues promptly.

General & Administrative

Participate in various projects and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, renewable energy or engineering sectors.

Proficiently in Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding in project financing and cost controls.

Meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and coordination skills across finance and project teams.

Responsible, committed, flexible and work well in a team.
