The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial management, reporting and control of project budgets and expenditure across renewable energy, construction and environmental projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor all project expenses, commitments and forecasted costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare accurate project costing reports, including variance analysis, for submission to the project team and management.
  • Track project billing, retentions and payments to ensure proper financial documentation and timely collection.

Contract & Cost Control

  • Assist in contract review, pricing analysis and funding applications where necessary.
  • Support cost monitoring and forecasting to prevent overruns and ensure projects remain financially viable.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost efficiency and accurate cost allocation.

    • Accounting & Reporting

  • Handle full sets of accounts, ensuring timely month-end closing and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Prepare and update project financial statements and reports in line with company’s reporting standards.
  • Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve financial or project-related issues promptly.

    • General & Administrative

  • Participate in various projects and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, renewable energy or engineering sectors.
  • Proficiently in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding in project financing and cost controls.
  • Meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across finance and project teams.
  • Responsible, committed, flexible and work well in a team.
