Finance Manager (Treasury, Ops and Reporting) – Boost, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Responsibilities
a) Management of accounting and financial reporting to various key stakeholders.
- Correctly interpreting and applying relevant requirements under Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Companies Act 2016 (CA (2016).
- Performing and coordinating in financial closing and reporting process.
- Preparing statutory financial statements and various reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Payments Network Malaysia (Paynet).
- Developing and strengthening key controls within the finance function, which do not impede on the Company’s operations and growth potential.
- Seamlessly communicating and updating team members within the Finance team and Company-wide.
- Coaching and mentoring related Finance team members and subordinates.
- Liaising and coordinating with Group Finance, external and internal auditors, tax agent as well as company secretary.
- Involvement in special projects from time-to-time.
- Monitor and manage debt / loan obligations.
b) Management of Company-wide finance operations :
Preparing and reviewing reconciliations for various General Ledger (mainly treasury related), as well as system-interfaced data into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portalResponsible for Cash Flow forecasting and planning.Oversee cash flow management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.Become the key contact person for any banking related.Liaising with payment gateways and Paynet on settlement and reconciliation-related.Monitoring cashflow for settlement purposes on a daily basis.Liaising with the technical operations team on the settlement issue.Subject Matter Expert on Settlement Processes for company-wide.Involve in treasury operations such as the opening of bank accounts, issuance of bank guarantees, and key users in banking matters (bank portal).Monitoring the compliance on e-money liabilities as per the guidelines of Bank Negara Malaysia.Involvement in special projects from time-to-time.Job Requirements
At least tertiary-level qualification relating to Finance or Accounting or hold a professional Chartered Accountancy qualification from a recognized body, though extensive relevant “hands-on” experience may be considered in place of this.Relevant financial closing and reporting experience in a similar industry, is a plus.Experienced in navigating within an ERP environment, i.e. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics AX, etc.Minimum eight years of related working experience.Minimum two years in a people management role.Business partnership and team player mindset.Strong command in both spoken and written English.Actual “hands-on” experience in performing financial closing and operations, and preparing statutory financial statements and management reports.Excellent understanding of accounting fundamentals and relevant MFRSs and CA (2016).Strong analytical skills and business acumen.Ability to communicate effectively and articulately, with team members across all levels.Experienced in Agile way of working.Positive mindset and self-driven.Meticulous, with attention to detail.Seniority level
