Responsibilities

To assist Manager, Farm in carry out managerial function of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling of farm and hatchery operations and production (Pullet, Layers, Eco-centre and Plantation)
To assist Manager, Farm to lead the management team to comply with the criteria set by the Department of Veterinary Services for the continual certification of MyGAP (Malaysia Good Agricultural Practices).
To assist Manager, Farm to lead the management to implement and continually improve on the Quality Management System for continued ISO 9001 certification.
To assist Manager, Farm to direct and coordinate work in the farm and with the other members of the Farm team.
Communicate and coordinate with suppliers of livestock, equipment and services, as and when required.
To assist Manager, Farm to appraise manpower performance and recommend training, career development and staff remuneration.

Person Specifications

Education & Qualification

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry, Animal Science or equivalent.

Relevant Experience & Years of Service

Minimum 8 years’ experience at Farm Management / Operations level.

Able to make and assess personal / team decisions and align actions with organization’s vision and mission.

Able to establish and maintain open / trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to nurture collaborative partnerships and work towards a common goal.

Able to contribute and encourage new ideas and approaches to support business growth; demonstrate openness to and enthusiasm for new initiatives and appropriately challenges the status quo; adapt and improvise quickly, appropriately, and decisively to internal / external changes.

Able to display accountability for team and personal decisions / outcomes and take proactive actions to achieve results with dedication to follow through on commitments; create plans and manage resources to accomplish and deliver self and team’s commitments.

Able to understand and prioritise stakeholders’ needs / expectations and develop solutions to improve service delivery.

Able to appreciate the complex interrelationships between external factors and internal business operations and inspires, influences, and motivates others toward a common goal for mutual success partnerships.

Able to nurture the culture of learning organization.

Able to develop strategic plans in response to market shifts and shocks to accomplish organizational goals; adaptability to changes in business landscape.
