Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the Accounts & Finance Department in performing daily accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. The role involves handling supplier invoices, customer billing transactions and process payment to supplier and staff. The incumbent ensures all accounting activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger entries.Processing AR invoices, AR collections and statement of accounts in a timely manner.Processing AP invoices, payment to suppliers and staff claims in a timely manner.Register new fixed assets.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements e.g. SST and E-invoicing.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits.Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.Assist in filing, stock count & scrap witness.Any other duties as assigned by superior from time to time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
