Overview
Accountant (Healthcare Industry) responsibilities include financial accounting, reporting, treasury management, compliance, and administrative support to enable informed management decisions in a healthcare context.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for all the business units (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations).
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of financial statements.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management : monitor cash flow, collections, and payments to ensure sufficient operating funds.
- Manage accounts receivable and bad debt collection to minimize outstanding balances.
- Manage petty cash and bank accounts across centers.
- Compliance & Audit : ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation (SST, income tax), and other statutory requirements; liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies; prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Administrative & Operational Support : work with the operations team to track inventory, procurement, and vendor payments; provide financial insights to management for decision-making on cost efficiency and expansion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in healthcare / SME environment is an advantage).Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory regulations.Proficiency in accounting software AutoCount, or equivalent and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.What We Can Offer
