Data Engineer

Overview

KINESSO is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Data Engineer to fill an immediate need. This individual will work with the technical team and internal clients to understand and analyze requirements to build and support data initiatives. The candidate will have experience designing and developing highly scalable data solutions with a strong understanding of the Data Engineering operating environments. This role requires an individual who has a passion for technology and media and is looking to apply this to real-world business scenarios. Responsibilities

Active participation in discussions and providing insights about processes and solutions. Responsible for intermediate tasks related to core practice, ensuring effective and timely completion. Identify areas for improvement in processes and help adapt processes. Develop and manage team documentation and conduct peer reviews as scoped. Follow compliance guidelines and standards, identify potential problems, and propose solutions. Collaborate across teams within the project, understanding and integrating feedback from different stakeholders. Mentor trainee engineers, guiding them through tasks and helping them understand core concepts. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science 3-5 years of progressive software engineering experience 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud ecosystem 3+ years of experience with any MPP database technology 1+ years of experience with big data processing frameworks Experience with agile methodologies is highly desirable Experience in the modern data stack is highly desirable Warehouse / Lakehouse : Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift Observability / Analytics : DataDog, Tableau, AWS QuickSight Basic understanding of AI / ML concepts Skilled in time management and meeting timelines Strong teamwork, contributing effectively to team goals Effective communicator, skilled at influencing team discussions Basic understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards Able to stay ahead of the curve with new and emerging technologies Experience in ad tech is a strong plus Personal Attributes

Proficient in English as a first language – both verbal & written Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with non-technical users. The ability to consistently deliver solid, successful solutions in short development cycles. A strong spirit of innovation, self-starter, independent, and with the ability to come up with solutions to meet business problems. Result driven, high enthusiasm and can work well with others.
