About the Role

We’re hiring a junior Accounting Consultant on a 12‑month full‑time contract to support financial reporting and month‑end close. You will prepare journal entries and reconciliations, assist with intercompany eliminations, compile reporting schedules, and maintain audit‑ready workpapers. Ideal for an early‑career accountant with strong Excel skills and interest in IFRS / US GAAP reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post routine and adjusting journal entries (accruals, prepayments, reclasses, FX revaluations).
  • Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and key P&L accounts; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations, confirmations, eliminations support, and settlement tracking.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reporting schedules for P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and equity roll‑forward.
  • Maintain organised, audit‑ready workpapers and PBC support with clear cross‑references.
  • Use Excel (and Power Query where helpful) to standardise / automate recurring schedules.
  • Support external audit requests, statutory reporting needs, and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (corporate or public).
  • Familiarity with IFRS and / or US GAAP fundamentals; exposure to consolidations / intercompany is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); Power Query or basic SQL is a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP (NetSuite); exposure to reporting / consolidation tools is a plus.
  • Detail‑oriented, organised, and collaborative with clear communication skills.
