Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter advisor for supply chain processes (procurement, inventory, demand planning, manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, etc.)
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, with emphasis on feasibility, scalability, and best practices
- Lead workshops with stakeholders from supply chain, operations, logistics, and procurement to elicit requirements
- Perform fit-gap analysis between business needs and standard SAP (or alternative tool like Oracle SCM / Blue Yonder) capabilities
- Propose and validate solution options, enhancements, customizations, and workarounds
- Produce functional / solution design documents, configuration guides, interface specifications, and process flows
- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, integration, data migration, middleware) to ensure correct implementation
- Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and go-live support
- Provide post-go live support, issue resolution, and continuous improvements
- Stay updated on SAP / supply chain industry trends, modules, and tools to advise on future roadmap and architecture
- Mentor junior consultants and share knowledge within the team
Required Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience working in supply chain domain on SAP or equivalent tools (Oracle SCM, Blue Yonder, etc.)Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP / SCM tool (SAP SCM / MM / PP / EWM / APO, Oracle SCM, Blue Yonder)Good understanding of core supply chain processes : procurement, inventory management, demand planning, production planning, warehousing, logistics, fulfillmentExperience performing fit-gap analysis, defining functional specifications, and solution designProven track record working with integrations (e.g. IDocs, APIs, middleware, EDI)Experience in testing : writing test cases, executing SIT / UAT, coordinating with usersAbility to troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and propose corrective actionsStrong stakeholder management skills; ability to interface with business and technical teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, especially documentationProblem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressurePreferred / Nice-To-Have
