We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Commis Cook, you will assist senior kitchen staff in food preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Core Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop, and dice fruits, vegetables, and meats following precise instructions.
- Support Demi Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef with daily tasks.
- Follow instructions accurately and maintain strong communication with supervisors.
- Assist in preparing breakfast items, salads, sauces, and other required dishes.
- Learn and consistently follow the standards for à la carte preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation.
- Ensure proper food safety, disposal of spoiled items, and cleanliness standards.
- Inventory Management
Monitor ingredient levels, assist with receiving deliveries, and report shortages.
Help control wastage and ensure proper stock rotation and storage.Additional Duties
Participate actively in ongoing training.Embrace sustainability and green practices implemented by the hotel.Stay open to learning new skills and culinary techniques.Work across various kitchen stations to gain a broad range of experience.Show flexibility and readiness to multitask.Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.Take responsibility for the cleanliness and proper use of kitchen tools.Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen stock and supplies.Prepare and plate dishes according to established standards.Follow guidance from Demi Chef or Chef de Partie to ensure consistency and quality.Qualifications & Skills
