We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing innovative tooling solutions to support our manufacturing processes, ensuring the efficient and precise production of our stamping products.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and development of tooling solutions for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed design specifications and drawings
- Design and create complete metal stamping, including detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive mold specifications, checklists, component drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Conduct feasibility studies, tooling simulation, and prototype testing to validate designs.
- Provide technical support during the tool fabrication, assembly, and trial run phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the design and production process.
- Ensure all tooling designs meet quality standards, production requirements, and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all tooling designs and modifications.
- Perform analysis and simulations to evaluate tooling performance
- Support the prototyping and testing of tooling designs, documenting results and iterations
Requirements :
At least a SPM or Diploma Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of working experience in plastic injection mold design.Basic understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.Knowledge of mold flow analysis is a strong advantage.Excellent understanding of mold components, tooling principles, and manufacturing processes.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and present solutions effectively.Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to completion.Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
