We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of AP Shared Services to lead the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations across multiple entities. This role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, automation, and governance while fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end AP operations including invoice processing, vendor payments, debit balance resolution, and bank reconciliations.
  • Lead reconciliation of marketplace fees between Zalora’s e-commerce marketplace platform “Seller Centre” and SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Govern AP ledger integrity and ensure alignment with GL and subledger balances.
  • Monitor blocked payments and proactively resolve issues to ensure timely disbursements.
  • Drive collection efforts for sellers with debit balances, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and statutory requirements across all AP processes.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external / internal audit engagements.
  • Own indirect tax submissions and ensure timely filing with authorities.
  • Champion adherence to financial policies and procedures across the AP function.

    • Reporting & Analytics

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly AP reporting with local finance teams and Group HQ.
  • Monitor KPIs (e.g. invoice cycle time, payment accuracy, aged payables) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate weekly bank reconciliations and month-end close activities.

    • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with vendors, commercial teams, and procurement to resolve payment blocks and invoice disputes.
  • Serve as a key liaison between AP Shared Services and local finance teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, translating technical insights into actionable business decisions.

    • Transformation & Automation

  • Lead process improvement initiatives including automation of invoice workflows, exception handling, and dashboarding.
  • Drive SAP optimization and support change management as part of continuous improvement.
  • Implement shared services best practices and standard operating procedures across entities.

    • Leadership & Communication Expectations

  • Inspire and lead a high-performing AP team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences including senior leadership, auditors, and external vendors.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders with clarity, empathy, and strategic insight.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and precision in all interactions.

    • Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent; ACCA / CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in AP, with at least 3 years in a shared services leadership role.
  • Proven track record in internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in SAP and automation tools (e.g. Esker, VIM).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Excellent command of English and proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
