Trade Compliance Specialist

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the Penang site as a Trade Compliance Specialist .

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

Job Description

What You Will Do

• Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations (including US EAR / ITAR) and uphold internal Trade Compliance Policies across all sites.
• Manage SAP GTS screening, denied party checks, and product classification (e.g., ECCN, tariff codes, origin rules).
• Develop and deliver trade compliance training, maintain audit-ready records, and support external audits by regulators (Customs, MITI, MIDA, SIRIM).
• Lead investigations into trade violations, provide guidance to stakeholders, and identify opportunities for duty savings.
• Administer trade documents such as Certificates of Origin and manage trade-related master data in SAP / WMS.
