Education Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain the open-source platforms (i.e., Moodle / Totara / Gibbon / Drupal), including user management, course setup, and system updates.
• Manage database administration (MySQL / PostgreSQL) to optimize performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage Moodle plugins, themes, and integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Single Sign-On, payment gateways, analytics tools).
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning to enhance user experience.
• Ensure data security, backup processes, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and IT teams to develop and deploy new features.
• Provide user support and training for faculty, staff, and students.
• Document system configurations, customizations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay updated with Moodle / Totara / Gibbon / Drupal developments, best practices, and emerging trends in e-learning technology.
• Attend sales meetings with potential clients and weekly meetings with existing clients to answer technical questions.
• Supervise the IT department, with direct supervision of software developer(s).
