ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Account Executive / Senior Account Executive to take charge of Beacon Mart outlets’ General Ledger (GL) management and daily bank reconciliation activities. The role involves ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of daily cash deposits, Visa / Master transactions, e-wallet collections, and other payment modes from our retail outlets. You will also support the month-end closing process, internal controls, and yearly audit requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update General Ledger (GL) for all Beacon Mart outlets.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank-in slips, cash deposits, Visa / Master, e-wallet, and other collections against POS reports.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in deposit records, merchant statements, and bank accounts.
• Ensure timely posting of journal entries with complete supporting documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly reconciliation schedules for management review.
• Support month-end closing by reconciling outlet accounts and ensuring completeness of accruals.
• Prepare audit schedules, liaise with auditors, and ensure completeness of supporting documents during the annual audit exercise.
• Assist in preparing schedules for internal reviews and provide necessary documentation.
• Liaise with outlet managers and internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.
• Assist in process improvements and strengthening of internal controls over outlet collections.
• Maintain fixed asset schedule and record monthly depreciation accurately.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Finance Manager / Head of Finance.
