Penerangan pekerjaanBasic to intermediate in HEC-HMS for rainfall–runoff modelling and hydrograph generation. Basic to intermediate experience with HEC-RAS (1D / 2D) for hydraulic modelling of rivers, channels, and floodplains. Knowledge of MSMA (2nd Edition) stormwater management design methods Familiarity with Hydrological Procedures (HPs), especially HP01 (Rainfall Frequency), HP05 (Unit Hydrograph), HP11 (Design Flood Hydrograph). Ability to analyze rainfall Intensity–Duration–Frequency (IDF) curves and apply them in design storm computations. Understanding of hydraulic structure capacity analysis (culverts, bridges, weirs, spillways). Experience in preparing flood maps, inundation extents, and drainage layouts Develop and maintain hydraulic models using specialized software to simulate the behaviour of water systems, such as pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment plants Analyse model outputs to identify potential issues and optimize system design Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil and structural engineers, to integrate hydraulic modelling into the overall project design
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hydraulic modelling, preferably in the water infrastructure industry
- Proficient in using hydraulic modelling software, such as HEC-RAS, MIKE FLOOD, ICM or SWMM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present technical information to clients and stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior members
