System Engineer

As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure, servers, operating systems, storage software and network to ensure seamless operations and support the achievement of our organizational goals. What You'll Do : Daily Oversight : Oversee the daily upkeep and administration of the company's IT infrastructure and computer systems. System Management : Design, plan, implement, and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, servers, operating systems, storage, and software to meet current and future organizational requirements. Cloud Provisioning : Manage the provisioning and administration of cloud infrastructure to enhance agility and efficiency. Performance Monitoring : Monitor system and network performance, troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal operation. Security Assurance : Ensure the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure, adhering to best practices. Vendor Collaboration : Liaise with vendors / customers on hardware, operating system, storage, and network setup and hardening. Procurement & Licensing : Work closely with vendors on quotations, procurement, and license / maintenance renewals for hardware and software. Software Deployment : Handle the deployment of the company's software products. Documentation : Maintain up-to-date records and documentation of hardware and software. What You'll Need : A Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Technology in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field will be the foundation of your success in this role. Preferably 2 years of experience in related fields, showcasing your expertise in Oracle / PostgreSQL databases, networks, hardware, Linux OS, system security, and backup / recovery. Experience in handling complex technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise-level infrastructure is necessary, ensuring you can manage large-scale systems effectively. Experience and knowledge of AWS cloud administration is an added advantage. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Your analytical mindset, proactive approach, and resourcefulness will be crucial in tackling challenges and driving results.
