Front End Developer – Hilti Group

Join Hilti Group as a Front End Developer, contributing to digital transformation on a global scale.

What’s the role?

As a front‑end developer, you will be the team expert in implementation, focusing on JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript, clean‑code principles and a strong testing culture. You will diagnose problems, work around limitations and continuously improve efficiency and optimization to drive platform capabilities. You will actively participate in product feature and design discussions, shape products and present solutions to both technical leadership and other software engineering teams.

What does the role involve?

Technical excellence

  • Design, develop and deploy scalable, high‑quality front‑end solutions using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript and API tools such as GraphQL and AWS services.
  • Apply security coding standards, Google Web Analytics and web accessibility guidelines.
  • Optimize performance, reliability and scalability through testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvements.

Collaboration and ownership

  • Partner with technical leadership, product teams and engineers to shape product design and ensure solutions align with organisational goals.
  • Own end‑to‑end solutions – make autonomous decisions to solve complex technical challenges.

    • Lifecycle and process improvements

  • Enhance the software development lifecycle by promoting efficiency, maintainability and scalability.
  • Innovate to overcome system limitations and support high‑traffic, dynamic environments.

    • Leadership and mentorship

  • Mentor developers – foster professional growth, collaboration and best practices.
  • Lead by example – contribute to technical strategy and define engineering standards.

    What you need is

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in Angular with JavaScript, TypeScript and HTML / CSS.
  • Nice to have – API development, GraphQL, service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Interest in and ability to learn additional programming languages as needed.
