Merchandising Manager

Job Description

• Implement comprehensive merchandising strategies that will drive sales and profitability.
• Organize and manage assortments of products.
• Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory by implementing inventory management strategies.
• Understand the trends in the industry, the preferences of customers, and the competitive landscape.
• Ensure trade terms are met during the contract period by negotiating favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize costs and maintain.
• Analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement using sales reports, POS data, and outlet feedback.
• Track KPI including sales, customer satisfaction, gross margin and inventory turnover.
• Create appealing and impactful product displays in collaboration with the visual merchandising team.
• Support and guide the merchandising team in product knowledge, sales techniques, and visual merchandising standards.
• Engage in close collaboration with outlet managers to ensure effective implementation of merchandising strategies at the store level.
• Assist in providing support and guidance to outlet teams for sales techniques, product assortment and visual merchandising standards.

Requirements

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Merchandising or any related field. Strong expertise in inventory control, procurement, and distribution operations. Proven leadership and strong team management skills. Experienced in using retail POS and inventory control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and keen business acumen. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
