Purpose of the position

To provide customers with a package covering all aspects of operational management in the efficient running of the On-site bulk gas operations.

Principle responsibilities

Bulk Gas Operation

  • Ensure that bulk gas are controlled and maintained.
  • Ensure all distribution system performance.
  • Ensure safety requirements are met in all gas and correct PPE is worn personally and by others in the team.
  • Help ensure the organization achieve ISO 9001 Certification and maintains that accreditation through good working practices.
  • Provide Onsite service Specialist with problem reports / plant running conditions.
  • Ensure PM on Gas and equipment is carried out safely and as per procedure and Risk Assessment.
  • Provide technical support and help resolve all technical issues relating to bulk gas management.
  • Provides first alarm response through continuous monitoring of the Gas SCADA system.
  • Ensure the Onsite Service Specialist id fully aware of critical alarms or problems developing from SCADA trends.
  • Ensure all routine logging and works are performed in the Gas system. Ensure that any abnormalities observed at the systems are escalated to Onsite service supervisor or engineer.
  • Ensure IQC are done for bulk gases by utilizing on-site's SOP.

CQC (Continuous quality control)

  • Assist guaranteeing CQC and 100% uptime for all and bulk gas systems.
  • Responsible for monitoring at SPCs for the gas supply, if applicable.
  • Ensure that the Best Standard Operating Procedures are adopted.
  • Participation of ISO9001 and SHEQ related activities
  • Assist in follow up and closure of quality related issues

    • SHEQ

  • Ensure adherence to SOP and proper Risk Assessments for all tasks.
  • Ensure PPE are won as per SOP and Risk Assessments.
  • Participate in all SHEQ initiatives.
  • Participate in ERT exercise.

    • Gas rooms and Gas Storage Area

  • Responsible for the safety of all deliveries and on-site vehicles, equipment and hardware and of those in the immediate vicinity.
  • Responsible for housekeeping of all the gas, control and storage rooms and areas.
  • Gas yard, Gas cabinets, purifier, and distribution-generally all hardware associated with contract.

    • Responsible for gas quality to customers by following all written work instruction and

    procedures.

    Understands fully the requirements of Ultra high purity System and materials.

    Ensure hook up of the cylinders / tube trailer / storage tanks are done safely as according to

    procedure.

    Logistics

  • Update of logistic related administration, i.e data entry of tanks, tube trailer, DO processing.
  • Consumption monitoring of gas. Ensure to alert Onsite Operations team and once abnormal

    • consumption is detected.

  • Administration
  • Ensure all required reports, checklist, procedure, work instruction, risks assessments, and
  • method statements are used during any task performed.
  • Ensures work does not commence until relevant Permits and isolations have been made and
  • documentation is issued. Counter check with Onsite Operations team and Customer
  • representatives before commencing any works.
  • Owns responsibility for all 'day-today' paperwork and administration.
  • Updates and follows training schedules as required by all Linde employees.
  • Communication between customer / LINDE
  • Responsibility for communicating.
  • Delivery problems
  • Gas forecast usage issues / stock levels / consumption
  • Maintenance, servicing, abnormalities related to gas systems
  • Incidents & best practices
  • Key Duties (Advanced)
  • Planned Plant Shutdown (Gas System & ASU Plant)
  • Assists in plans and preparation for shutdown and keep customer fully informed.
  • Confirm shutdown work is conducted safely and on schedule.

    • CQC (Continuous Quality Control)

  • Responsible to ensure gas are within customer's specification before charge in (as per
  • comparison of COA vs customer's specification).
  • Helps guarantee continuous supply to the customer.

  • Support ASUs plant maintenance works

  • Assist in ensuring gas system performance is at it's optimum.

    • General

  • Responsible for their own health, safety and welfare and those around them, attend safety
  • meeting as required, and assist with internal / customer audits.
  • Assist in emergency situations and investigations into incidents and gas supply problems.

    • Any other duties assigned as and when required to support the smooth running of on site

    operations.

    Participate in all SHEQ initiative programmes.

  • Minimum SPM / Vocational / Technical School
  • Preferably 2 years of relevant experience
