Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement climate risk tools and dashboards to assess and manage climate‑related financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external climate‑related governance and policy requirements, including Climate Risk Policy, BNM’s Climate Risk Scenario and Policy Document, TCFD, and other global / regional frameworks.
  • Preparation of climate risk analysis, reports and presentations for senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Risk Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a corporate setting (preferably a financial institution) to manage business needs of stakeholders.
  • Possess quantitative skills (analytics, data science).
  • ESG / climate‑related certifications would be preferred (not mandatory).
  • Climate scenario development and scenario expansion modeling experience or knowledge of risk modeling within a financial services setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with climate scenarios, such as NGFS, IEA, IPCC, and other scenarios; understanding of the underlying integrated assessment models (IAMs).
  • Familiarity with the increasing regulatory expectations facing banks related to climate risk.
