Job Purpose
To lead the ongoing due diligence efforts across customers, individual and non-individual bank’s high risk customers portfolio. This includes identifying potential risks associated with customers by analyzing their financial information, transactions history, and conducting in-depth reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role will manage a team and coordinate cross-functionally with Branches, Compliance, Credit, Legal, and related Business units. Manage and lead the team to achieve desired results.
The role also seeks to assist in formulating appropriate measures and programs to prevent and rectify any incorrect practices as well as to continuously improve the existing processes and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Provide guidance to a team of Risk Review Associate in ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.
- Ensure Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures are executed for high-risk customers, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and present detailed dashboards and analytical reports to management.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of internal policies and procedures through active participation in governance reviews and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain full compliance with internal policies, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the timely and accurate updating of customer information aligned with approved risk profiles.
- Review and validate regulatory and internal documentation.

Ensure compliance with Bank’s policy, rules and regulations, compliance and procedures as well as complying with industry code of practice and legislative requirements.Ensure cleanliness of working areas e.g. workstation, back office, storeroom, pantry, server room, prayer room, washroom and etc.Attend training and complete e-learning as required by HR / Management to ensure staff are updated with knowledge and to avoid non-compliance / breaches to policies and procedures.Maintain good rapport / engagement with peers and superiors to harmonize the working environment.Act as the point of contact for Business Units, Compliance, Legal, TD and related stakeholders in relation to ongoing due diligence.Others

Bachelor’s degree in banking or any related discipline.Resourceful and possess customer centric attitude and excellent service mindset to improve the bank’s customer value chain.Conversant in branch operations, including Core Banking System, branch operational procedures and familiar with key compliance areas affecting branch operations e.g. FATCA / CRS, AML / CFT, etc.Strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations.Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.Years & Nature of Experience
Minimum years’ experience in branch banking operations or Compliance within a Financial Institution.Experience in supervisory and team coordination role is preferred.Seniority level
