Job Description
Promote and implement the group’s EHS policy and management system to ensure consistency and improve the overall quality of EHS management.
Assist target subsidiaries in implementing EHS activities to maintain a zero-accident record and facilitate timely communication of accident and disaster updates within the Group.
Aim to achieve zero EHS compliance violations in Southeast Asia by developing an independent regional EHS audit framework and monitoring management performance.
Enhance communication among target subsidiaries by organizing EHS forums and reinforcing EHS initiatives at each site.
Train and develop local staff at the Southeast Asia RHQ to carry out EHS responsibilities effectively, ensuring the continuous improvement of regional EHS capabilities.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least 3 years of managerial experience, with a background in the Environment & Safety Department or Manufacturing Department within a plant / factory setting.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in any engineering discipline.
Fluent in English and Japanese, with at least business-level proficiency.
Strong negotiation skills with respect for others, coupled with effective communication ability.
Strong leadership in defining policies and fostering collaboration with stakeholders to drive results.
Skilled in human resource development through motivating staff, expanding their horizons, and ensuring the right person is placed in the right position.
Skilled in conducting research, gathering and analyzing information, and developing effective plans.
Familiarity with machine safety practices.
Proficient in chemical substance management procedures and compliance.
Knowledge and understanding of work environment management.
Proficient in applying management systems like ISO 14001 / 45001.
