Key Responsibilities

Local Cultural & Religious Insight Support

Provide guidance on cultural, religious, and social sensitivities to ensure respectful and resonant communication.
Offer creative input for localized campaigns rooted in authentic Malaysian insights.

Trend Monitoring & Rapid Response

Monitor emerging social media trends and viral content in Malaysia.

Suggest quick-turnaround adaptations to keep content relevant and engaging.

Influencer & KOC Collaboration

Evaluate and recommend local celebrities, KOLs, and KOCs for partnerships.

Support in building and managing a community of content creators across YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.

Content Localization & Quality Assurance

Translate and review Malay-language materials including copy, visual elements, and video scripts.

Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, cultural context, and local trends.

PR & Crisis Communication Support

Draft PR briefing pointers for marketing campaigns.

Provide agile support in managing potential PR issues or community backlash.

Requirements

Must-Have Experience

3+ years in social media marketing, content creation, or influencer collaboration, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.

Proven track record of successful social content targeting Malaysian youth (Gen-Z / Alpha).

Critical Competencies

Deep understanding of Malaysian culture, social norms, and religious sensitivities.

Familiarity with the local social media ecosystem (TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and emerging platforms.

Knowledge of MOBA games (MLBB expertise is highly preferred) and gaming subcultures in Malaysia.

Experience in crisis management or sensitive communication within the Malaysian context.

Strong network of local content vendors, KOL agencies, or creator communities.

Language Skills

Native proficiency in

Bahasa Melayu

Conversational English (Mandarin is a plus)
