We are currently looking for a Plant Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Packaging Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 80 years in the world.

The role requires your urgent attention and is based in Johor, with a new plant setup for a multinational company (MNC).

The Role

Financial & Strategic Oversight : Drives site strategy and oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure profitability and cost control.

Operational Management : Manages all day-to-day activities, including raw material planning, production, quality, inventory, and logistics, to meet demand and uphold delivery standards.

Process & Efficiency : Maximizes operational efficiency through continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., VSM, JIT) and drives cost-efficiency by minimizing operating expenses.

Quality & Compliance : Upholds strict adherence to all legal, regulatory, and quality standards, and is responsible for obtaining and maintaining certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and UN.

Leadership & Collaboration : Leads and mentors cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Partners with the sales and finance teams to support business goals and streamline month-end processes.

Reporting : Provides regular performance and strategic updates to the Operations Director and the APAC steering committee.

The Experience

Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or an equivalent field.

Experience : A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in operations or general management.

Proficiency in Mandarin is required as this role involves serving Mandarin-speaking clients.
