Job description : Summary
The Senior Specialist, Integration Analyst (API) plays a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technical implementation for API-based integration solutions, primarily built on SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). This role is critical in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of API requirements - from demand analysis and stakeholder engagement to functional specification and delivery support - ensuring alignment with business objectives and integration strategy. As part of a global integration team, the role requires strong business acumen, a solid technical foundation in API and SAP CPI integrations, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development inputs. The role supports solution delivery, innovation exploration, and the ongoing enhancement of integration capabilities across the enterprise.
General Responsibilities
- Responsibilities Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Engage with business stakeholders globally to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into functional API specifications.
- Collaborate with API developers to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented into technical solutions using SAP CPI and related technologies.
- Facilitate workshops to define integration needs, validate designs, and align expectations.
- Drive the solution exploration phase by identifying integration opportunities and feasible API designs.
- Maintain clear and traceable documentation for requirements, process flows, user stories, and test cases. Technical Alignment & Integration Knowledge
- Develop a deep understanding of SAP CPI, integration architecture, and data flow models.
- Act as the subject matter liaison between business users and technical development teams.
- Support review of technical specifications, payload structures (e.g. JSON / XML), API documentation (e.g. Swagger / OpenAPI), and interface mappings.
- Assist in functional testing, UAT coordination, and production readiness validation for APIs and integrations.
- Use tools such as Postman, SAP CPI monitoring, and API gateways for testing and validation.
Governance, Quality & Lifecycle Management
Ensure API requirements are aligned with enterprise standards, reusability principles, and governance guidelines.Contribute to backlog grooming and solution planning cycles to ensure delivery readiness.Coordinate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilot rollouts when introducing new integration patterns or APIs.Document and maintain integration usage guidelines, support handover, and knowledge base content.Leadership responsibilities
