Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements following Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards.
Monitor and analyze accounting data, making recommendations for improvement.
Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounts department, including month-end and year-end closing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, loans, and hire purchase.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Responsible for financial forecasts, projections, and cash flow management to meet operational needs and obligations.
Review, formulate, implement and follow up on improvements in internal controls and processes
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual financial audits and resolve audit issues.
Handle corporate tax, transfer pricing, SST, and compliance matters related to financial reports.
Drive automation and digitalization projects to enhance efficiency.
Work with stakeholders to obtain government grants / subsidies for the company
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Any other tasks assigned by management
Requirement :
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Excellent organisational skills
MS office is a must
Prefer candidates who are able to speak Mandarin as the position requires to work closely with Chinese speaking associates
