Manager, Operational Risk Excellence - Risk Management

Overview

The Operational Risk Excellence Manager's key responsibility focuses around Outsourcing Risk and Business Agility, with the goal of protecting from third‑party risks while enabling it to adapt to market changes. This involves collaborating with business units to ensure outsourcing activities align with the Bank's strategic objectives and drive process optimisation. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operational Risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Change : Promoting and embedding best operational risk practices across the Bank via collaboration with the operational risk representatives / leads in the Business Units. This is suitable for talents with good risk mindset, good understanding of banking operations and who thrives in engaging fellow colleagues across work functions.
• Analyse Risk : Contribute towards enhancing value for the Bank by undertaking analysis through loss / incident data reviews and generating thoughtful recommendations through writing / presentations. This is suitable for talents who are curious about data and patterns, and determined to derive, examine and test their own hypotheses about banking business and operations.
• Mitigate Risk : Aiming to modulate risk with a focus on being solution‑based and applying a pragmatic approach. Discern between significant threats and minor deviations. This is suitable for talents who are sensible, level‑headed and eager to challenge overly conservative stances that may stifle innovation and efficiency.
