Job Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and reporting any defects promptly.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement to prevent damage during transit, and verifying the accuracy of the load against shipping documents.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery of goods, taking into account traffic conditions, road closures, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that may occur during the course of work.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety training programs.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class D, E1, F, H, and E driving license to operate various types of lorries.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving, specifically operating lorries for transportation of goods.
  • Thorough understanding and strict adherence to safety regulations and traffic laws to ensure safe and compliant transportation.
  • Proficient in loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
  • Excellent time management skills to plan routes efficiently and meet delivery schedules consistently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Secondary / SPM / 'O' Level education or equivalent.
