Position

Business Development Assistant Manager

Location : Subang Jaya, Selangor

Working Days / Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am – 5 : 30pm

Employment Type : Permanent

Salary : Basic + Commission + Performance Bonus

Reporting Structure

Reports to : Senior Management (HQ, Subang Jaya)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Assistant Manager to expand our market presence and drive business growth across Malaysia. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and leading a team to achieve sales and business development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand assigned territories by identifying and developing new end-user opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities; provide timely feedback to management.
  • Plan and execute product demonstrations, events, distributor seminars, and dealer roadshows.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to strengthen engagement with industrial and end-user segments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and effective execution.
  • Arrange and manage team demonstrations for relevant authority personnel.
  • Oversee manpower allocation for events and product demonstrations.
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of 6 staff.
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as directed by immediate superior.

Key Requirements

Must-Have :

  • Minimum Diploma in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience, leading a team of 5 or more staff.
  • Proven business development experience in manufacturing, building materials, paint, machinery (agriculture or heavy machinery), or related industries .
  • Strong track record in business development within Malaysia (local market focus).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English .

    • Good-to-Have :

  • Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for Business Development Manager role.

    • Working Arrangement

    Travel required (including cross-region travel).

    No work-from-home arrangement.
