What You'll Do

As an Operations Manager based in Klang Valley, you will play an instrumental role in orchestrating the day-to-day running of a busy manufacturing site. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that production targets are met through effective planning, resource allocation, and process optimisation. By working collaboratively with multiple departments—including Quality Assurance, Logistics & Planning—you will help streamline workflows while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your ability to analyse operational data will enable you to pinpoint areas for improvement quickly. In addition to managing budgets responsibly and minimising disruptions to schedules, you will also take charge of nurturing talent within your team by providing guidance and support. Building strong relationships with union representatives will be key to maintaining a positive work environment.   • Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities and services to ensure alignment with established schedules and organisational objectives.
  • Develop and implement detailed manufacturing schedules and procedures while allocating labour and capital resources efficiently to maximise productivity across the facility.
  • Analyse production data, maintenance logs, and downtime records to identify trends, resolve issues promptly, and drive ongoing performance improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Commercial Operations, Logistics & Planning, and Human Resources to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Anticipate current and future product needs by developing comprehensive plans, cost estimates, and integration schedules for new or evolving manufacturing requirements.
  • Proactively manage potential disruptions to manufacturing schedules by implementing robust contingency plans and maintaining clear communication channels across departments.
  • Oversee facility operations within budgeted costs while optimising overtime management to ensure financial sustainability without compromising output quality.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, FP&R guidelines, and local regulatory requirements throughout all stages of production.
  • Lead interactions with union committees in a respectful manner that fosters positive relationships and supports harmonious workplace dynamics.
  • Guide, mentor, evaluate, and develop Team Leaders as well as supervisors responsible for various production activities such as making, finishing, and other related tasks.
