Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related discipline
  • PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience at secondary level

Essential Skills

  • Proven expertise in teaching A‑Level Geography and familiarity with current examination specifications
  • Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Experience preparing students for A‑Level examinations and standardised assessments
  • Enthusiasm for fieldwork and practical geography, with ability to plan and lead engaging field trips
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive, dynamic learning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students of varying abilities and interests
  • Commitment to embedding sustainability and global citizenship within the curriculum
  • Enthusiasm for incorporating contemporary examples, current affairs, and innovative teaching methodologies
