We are currently seeking to hire Lab Assistantto join us on October 2025 to support both students and teachers in the laboratory and / or classroom work and ensure that all safety standards are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities :
As a Lab Assistant , they play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the school’s Science laboratories. Their responsibilities will include :
Laboratory Support
Preparing and setting up materials, equipment and apparatus for practical lessons and examinations.Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions and demonstrations.Cleaning, sterilising, and storing laboratory equipment safely.Refilling, labelling, and preparing stock solutions, chemicals and reagents.Safety & Compliance
Ensuring laboratory safety regulations are met at all times.Conducting routine safety checks and maintaining first aid and emergency equipment.Assisting with safe handling and disposal of chemical and biological waste in line with school and regulatory guidelines.Inventory & Administration
Maintaining an organised inventory of laboratory materials, chemicals and equipment.Carrying out regular stock checks and reporting shortages or maintenance needs.Supporting science-related events such as Science Week, exhibitions and STEM competitions.Collaboration & School Support
Assisting with the organisation of school events, open days and promotional activities when required.Supporting cross-departmental projects that involve laboratory resources.Performing other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.(Please note that this Job Description sets out the main duties associated with the stated purpose of the post. A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.At least three (3) years of working experience in a similar capacity.Prior experience managing science laboratories and supporting Ujian Amali Sains SPM in national schools is an advantage.Proficient in computer applications with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.Person specification
