Overview
Senior Specialist Fiduciary & Fund Servs role at Standard Chartered. The position focuses on managing fiduciary and fund services operations, governance, risk management and delivering high-quality services to clients.
Responsibilities
- Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
- Contribute towards the future strategic direction and process innovation of Securities Services by keeping abreast of changes in customer needs, technology and business environment and taking pro-active steps to embrace and capitalize on these changes.
- Support the roll-out of appropriate quality management systems and other initiatives by the Company / Group.
- Assist the Line Manager - FMO Securities Services Fund Services to manage the operations of Fund Services Processes, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services to customers and meeting objectives using allocated resources while maintaining operational risk to an acceptable level.
- Assist the Line Manager - Securities Services Fund Services to achieve team service quality by meeting or exceeding set service standards and achieving zero defects for the Bank’s customers.
- Deliver service / reports to country stakeholders / clients in accordance with requirements and timelines as agreed in the Services Level Memorandum; ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensure accurate calculation and posting of valuations (including management fees, expenses, performance fees) in line with the Service Level Memorandum and related fund documents.
- Ensure accurate capture of trades / prices / Corporate Actions / FX rates data and relevant accounting entries for accurate Net Asset Value calculation.
- Maintain daily accounting and client records for several investment funds and support fund administration tasks such as processing transactions and ensuring investments are recorded and priced correctly.
- Perform detailed reviews of reports to CPC / clients, verify valuations to third-party sources, ensure correct accounting for complex investments, and report issues with recommended solutions.
- Handle daily activities including cash and trade reconciliations; prepare NAVs, financial reports, and other required reporting.
- Calculate and deliver Net Asset Values and related reports per the SLA; ensure proper calculation and posting of fees as appropriate.
- Record and disburse dividends and payments to investment managers / advisors, custodians, and other service providers as required.
- Ensure fund administration services fees are settled by the client in a timely manner.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of funds’ underlying documentation, investment rules, KYC / AML, corporate secretary practices, IFRS and US GAAP.
- Assist in preparing interim and annual financial statements for fund audits; support Line Manager in team planning, monitoring and coaching.
Qualifications
Education : Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent.Languages : English.Experience : 5 to 7 years in fund administration, fund valuation or related fields.Knowledge : Good knowledge of fund administration services including fund valuation (Mutual / Hedge funds and offshore private funds). Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.Leadership : Minimum of supervise & leadership experience.Skills
