Overview
The Sales Manager reports to Sales & Marketing Director. He or She will use extensive knowledge in the chemical sector and its application on dry mortar products to sell white cement to the company’s existing and new client. The incumbent will work closely with customers on new product applications covering both wall and floor segment. Other responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of dry mortars, functional applications, building up of cost structure and revenue stream that appeals market requirement, converting grey to white based where technical expertise may be required to fit the client’s needs including in-house client, SCI. To be successful the incumbent should possess an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products features and should be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable to customers. He or She should be driven to achieve sales goals and should have excellent sales and customer service skills.
Specific accountabilities and job function
- Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company’s products to customers.
- Discussing formulation and compliance requirement with customers and their technical team.
- Collaborating with sales back office to understand customers requirement and provide sales support.
- Generating high quality sales leads, follow up after initial contact. Securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales and arranging deliveries.
- Compiling from voices of customers, channel to relevant sub-committee meetings technical product modification to meet customers on-going needs.
- Helping customers who encounter problems with their products (and applications at site) recommending solutions to rectify either with improve product formulation or improve work applications at site.
- Soliciting and logging customer feedback and evaluating them to crate new business opportunities with other customers. (Find the gap then fill the gap with solutions to leverage on current business model).
- Achieving sales goals and quote pre-set by the company.
- Training other members in the sales team in other countries.
