We're partnering with a global industrial group to appoint a

Regional Legal Counsel

based in

Kuala Lumpur

  • . This is a newly created position with a broad, multi-jurisdictional remit across the region, and a clear succession path to leadership.

The company delivers integrated solutions across

physical infrastructure, industrial technology, and built environment sectors

, and is steadily scaling its operations and footprint across Asia Pacific.

We're looking for steady, mature legal hands—someone with

MNC experience, strong commercial instincts

, and the ability to engage directly with business leads and

external customers on complex contracting matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and compliance support across multiple jurisdictions, aligned with global frameworks and local regulatory standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts including distribution, commercial sales agreements, and project delivery scopes.
  • Advise on day-to-day legal matters, employment law, and operational risks.
  • Partner closely with commercial teams to support bids, customer negotiations, and regional go-to-market activities.
  • Manage external counsel relationships and deliver legal training to internal teams.

    • Key Requirements

  • 8–14 PQE

    • , ideally with a combination of

    top-tier law firm and in-house MNC experience

  • Strong background in

    • commercial contracting

    , particularly in customer-facing or sales-driven environments.

  • Familiarity with employment law and legal operations across the region.
  • Experience in infrastructure, construction, energy, or industrial sectors preferred.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to advise business leads and negotiate cross-functionally.
  • Malaysian-qualified candidates preferred. Additional regional language skills a plus.
